4X4 and Caravan

Two of the UK's biggest discount retailers are stocking these die-cast and plastic sets for the measly sum of £3.99
A Hasslefree zombie hunting checking out the caravan , looks like a good place to hole up for the night.
And again checking out the 4x4. The doors and boot open up and its a nice size, scaling up quite well with 28mm miniatures. Overall well worth the money for some nicely detailed vehicles and mobile home based scenery.

Repainted Heroclix Professor X

A repainted miniature to go alongside my "Men in suits" gang, perhaps the CEO of a company?

Battle Masters Chaos Warrior

The old school plastic onslaught continues with no sign of stopping!!!... Well actually this will be the last one for a while as I have no more painted up...

Space Crusade Marine

Picked this fella up for 50p second hand, looking at this guy, he is a much better sculpt that the later 2nd box set plastics that came out. At least to my eyes anyway.

Some post apoc civilians

Two more for my ever growing, never ending post apoc project. The mechanic is from Lead Adventure Miniatures and is a nice easy sculpt to paint. The woman next to him is from Ramshackle, I got her in with a box of miscast resin, she doesn't have a face to speak off, but will be nifty as an objective marker or something.

Mortar Loader

Just one more and this squad will finally be complete, then its just a case of picking another squad to start with...Guard...never ending... :)

Saturday 19 January 2013

2nd Edition Ork

Never really liked these models when I was younger, after paining this little guy I wouldn't  mind a few metal Orks from that period to make a squad of them. Nice details on this fella. And yes I still don't like green space Orks.

Goblin

A simple plastic goblin from the old Battle Masters game, I wish you could still get that, but GW would probably charge over £100 for it.

Send in the Guard!!

Yet more Guard for the Albion 13th. I bought about 40+ painted plastic guardsmen last summer off a chap on the Lead Adventure Forums, had to give them a soak in Dettol to remove the paint.
I've now painted up 3 squads out of that batch with one left, then its a case of working through the heavy weapon squads, the Mordian squad, the Ratlings,a nd then the left over Talarn/Cadian mixed squad.

I need to take a picture of the army as a whole one of these days...

Nurgle Champion

Picked this rather large rotting chap up today, very big bulky fellow for £9, normally I would laugh at that price and walk away, especially for a plastic mini. But something in me said "you need tog et this guy" so I did, and spent most of the night painting him up and I honestly think hes one of the best miniatures Ive painted.

Enjoy.

Elektra

Marvel's Elektra. Not a Heroclix, she was part of a mystery toy in a ball range made up of marvel mini's, not many of them were in 28mm which was a shame.

Sunday 6 January 2013

Punk

Punk with a bat, real simple 30mm miniature I picked up out of a bargain bucket.

Saturday 5 January 2013

Werewolf Slaver

For a change a rather tall 28-30mm miniature of a werewolf shape shifting, though judging by the size of the pistol he is holding I reckon he is just supposed to be a rather large chap. He'll make a fine mutant slaver for my post apoc project.

BatMobile (For £2.99???)

Had to share this, just got back fromt he shops and Eaglemoss have just released a new magazine series Batman Automobilia. First issue is priced at £2.99 and in based on the '89 Batman movie and is perfect for 28-30mm gaming. And with Knight Models releasing the new Batman game, I think its a great cheap way of getting some terrain/objectives. Next issue is the 60's TV series and is priced at £5.99.

Grizzled War Vet

Another unknown mini I picked up at Smoggycon, this guy is 25mm so looks tiny compared to GW stuff, he's even small when compared to Hasslefree or Foundry. Still he was nice and easy to paint.
