Fantasy Monsters

I got around to painting up some more monsters for HeroQuest, some Beastmen from the old Warhammer Quest (I think) board game, and a Goblin from BattleMasters. Nice little additions all in all.

HeroQuest 25th Anniversary on Kickstarter.

I got the shock of my life yesterday when I saw this. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2113976860/heroquest-25th-anniversary , they have only been going two days and already have $426,601 (CAD), a hell of a lot more than the $58,000 they needed. Its going to be a long year waiting for this.

Aintsy Casting Terrain

I had intended to pick up more terrain from Aintsy Casting at Smoggycon on Saturday, but for some reason (tiredness, bedazzlement,or just the dingy orange lights) I only came away with two pieces of terrain and a future apc thing (though Ive ran out of glue for that...). After painting these two, Im going to get more in the future.

Princess Viktoria

Bit of a change for me, first in a large force of Hinterland Miniatures all female Hussars, led by Princess Viktoria-Luise. I have about another 30 or so of these girls to paint up, though as they are more 25mm than 28 and with some real fine detail, I think Im going to be getting sick of them before long argh!

Hammer Girl

Another lovely little Hasslefree figure (that loses her face once paint is applied). Based off Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim.

Goliath Ganger (Conscripts Part 3)

Yet another poor unfortunate ganger pressed into service with the Imperial Guard.

Bear

The other day I wandered into the works canteen, and sat on top of the water boiler was this plastic toy bear, so I brought it home and gave it a good lick of paint. No idea who makes it, or what toy range it comes from, but its a nice little sculpt and seems to size up quite nicely with 28mm mini's.

Chaos Cultist

Finished the last of the cultists, now I just wish I had one of the leaders and a heavy.

Last Chancer Heavy Bolter

Ox form the old Last Chancers set.

Tactical Squad

Another squad of Space Marines, using the newer plastic kit, pity they didn't include parts to make more earlier marks of power armor like Mk4 or Mk5..Oh well.

Cultists

Possibly the best value for money GW do at the minute, 5 miniatures (yes I know there are only 4 here) for £6. Nice sculpts and useful for Necromunda or any kind of Fallout game.

Random Fantasy Chaps.

Got around to finishing off a few more fantasy minis, a Battlemasters Orc and Chaos Warrior, but I have no idea where the axe Orc comes from.

Colonel 'Iron Hand' Straken

Always liked this miniature, and think it looks better than the newer version. Dont think he will be making an appearance in my army though, as the HQ slots are taken up by Creed and Yarrick.

Talarn Trooper

This chap has been in a half painted state for about a year and a half, now finally finished.

Imperial Guard Mortar Team.

Utilizing old bits and bobs is good fun.

Mechwarrior Mech

Rebased Mechwarrior machine, this thing towers over 28mm miniatures, would probably make a good Titan for Epic.
