Noise Marine

Way back in 1991, I picked up my second ever issue of White Dwarf, I was mad for anything HeroQuest related at the time, and I had my eyes opened to the worlds of Games Workshop via the entries from the 91 Golden Demon contest. I was amazed by one miniature, something called a Noise Marine, I decided I would have one, but I never saw one available in the shops. Now 20 years (give or take a month or two) later, I managed to get hold of one in a trade off a guy on the Frothers board. Good things come to those who wait it seems.

Daemonettes

I bought and painted these 6 last year before the new plastics where released. I spent a lot of time on them and am really proud of them.

I consdiered placing them on ebay with the rest of my chaos stuff as these metal minis seem to fetch good prices, but I just couldnt bring myself to do it.

Chaos Marines

Thought I'd post some images from my stalled Slannesh themed (hence all the pink) Chaos marine army.

For the marine with the flamer, I chopped up a loyalist backpack, and then cut an Imperial Guard flamer pack in half and glued them together, for the weapon itself, again I used a Guard flamer and attached a melta bomb to the back (A waste of a bomb?).

The biker was straight out of the box, however i bought some resin bases from Ramshackle Games to give it a more offroad feel.

Huron Blackheart

Huron from the 40K Chaos range. I painted him to fit in with the Slaanesh themed army I was creating (I need to get back to it at some point). It took me a week and a half to paint him up in time for a competition at the local GW store. He didn't get very far, I guess the judge didn't like pink.
