So here we are, 2014 over and done with and 2015 here at last (no Back to the Future jokes please). Fairly productive year with 285 miniatures painted, though with 281 miniatures bought (not counting all the ones that came in Zombicide and Toxic City Mall) I'm not sure that total is that good.
New year resolutions, paint more of what I already have, buy less, play more games (yeah righto) and actually try to scratch build some terrain....
Happy New Year all!

Hasslefree Sci-Fi Troopers
Part of a small Christmas present to myself from Hasslefree, another six troopers to go with the two I painted up in May, however, unlike the last two, only yht new officer is resin, the rest are all metal, still even so, they all painted up a treat.

Adeptus Arbites Enforcer
Another of those miniatures I saw way back in the day in White Dwarf and wanted to get, but never did. This fellow turned up as a freebie as part of a trade, which was real nice, only problem is the rest of his mates are pretty expensive now, and I need a squad to stick him in...oh well.

Happy Boxing Day
Some Hasslefree goodness, I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and got everything they asked/wished for :)

Demolisher Commander
I got around to painting the Demolisher Commander to finish off this tank that I painted back in May 2012, jeez, doesn't time fly?....

Chimera
I finished off my second Chimera transport the other day, hull mounted heavy flamer with a turret heavy bolter, and a commander who likes to wave his flag about, nice.

Kill it with fire!!
Oh God...the horror, the horror.....
Some kind of mutant made up of at least 3 people fused together, like something off The Thing... My paint work doesnt give this Reaper miniature very good justice, which is a shame as it is a rather nice sculpt with lots of little touches a more skilled painter can make use of...alas...

Random Reaper Goodness
Just some random Reaper miniatures from the Chronoscope line that I picked up for my never ending post apoc project. Overall rather nice sculpts that painted up rather nicely, except for the geisha, she suffers from what I call "Hasslefree Syndrome", bascially a rather flat detail less face that is quickly hidden by a layer of paint. Oh well...

Imperial Psykers and Overseer
Two more Psykers, bringing the count up to six in total, not bad, three more and I have a full squad. They are joined by an Overseer made up from the BaneBlade commander sprue which was kindly donated to me.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Post Apoc Shack / Guard Post
I popped round to Battlegrounds (formerly Middlesbrough's Smoggycon) in Stockton at the weekend and picked up a few things from Aintsy Castings, a beat up guard post, or shack...possibly a reinforced bike shed from the looks of it, and a fuel station. Though I ran out of glue to build the station.
I've tried to give the building a rusted to hell look, to be honest these pictures its come out really well, to the naked eye I was worried it just looked like silver and bronze slapped on....
I've left the roof loose otherwise it would be a struggle getting any miniatures inside. Its quite roomy, easily fitting at least four 28mm miniatures, great for post apoc skirmishes.

Chimera Turret
A little WIP of my next tank, a Chimera transport with a heavy bolter turret (due to the fact that the new kit's heavy flamer and multi laser is a pain in the arse to put together. I like the way the banner turned out.

Imperial Psykers
I'm not a fan of Psykers, to many draw backs with them going insane and getting shot by their own forces....still the Imperial Guard has some nice looking models for Psykers from the Rogue Trader days up to now. Anyhow, all I need is an Overseer and I have a Psyker Battle Squad.

Another Humvee
Another beat up Humvee ready for action. This one was an old toy from the Cars movie I picked up years ago and like many things languished in a drawer until I felt pity for it.

Some Scenery
Just some random scenery, another Void ammo dump, and a rusty old boiler from the Freddy Vs Jason Horrorclix set. Tankie for scale.

Mars Attacks Troopers
Not a bad set of miniatures overall, though fairly pricey for soft plastic (bendy weapons) gaming pieces. Overall I'm happy how they turned out as it was a quick paint job to see if I could hammer out a unit in just a few hours, but the color scheme I chose doesn't lend itself well to taking photos, oh well..

Humvee
A solid chunk of resin from The Assault Group (TAG). Seems to size quite nicely with Hasslefree Miniatures. To get the rusty look, I used Vallego's Cold Grey, then dry brushed Vallego Smoke, followed by another light dry brush of Cold Grey one more.

Ral Partha Barbarian
An old Dungeons and Dragons miniature from Ral Partha I've had sitting around a few years. I decided to give her a lick of paint and add her to the Barbarian horde I've been slowly growing.

Some Random Fantasy
Some rather old fantasy miniatures today, one old Heroquest skeleton (still got a few of these to paint up), and a Red Sonja-like chain-mail bikini wearing barbarian from Ground Zero Games sculpted by (I believe) Kev White long before he started Hasslefree.

Copplestone Ladies
God, I haven't posted anything in ages, this is in part to me now working on Holland every two weeks, but also down to the fact I just haven't had any drive to paint anything...trying to fix that, but with not much luck.
Anyhow, two more from the Copplestone pile...enjoy.

Warhammer Wizard with a Chainsaw
Sorry about the picture quality, but here is an old Warhammer miniature that was created mostly for a laugh. I'm going to use him as an Imperial Priest for the Albion 13th Guard, and as a wasteland lunatic.

Cyberpunk BladeRunners
Been a while since I updated, due to a number of factors, mostly because I'm now working 2 weeks of the month in Holland and I recently updated my PC to a desktop (Win 8.1 arrrgh) and lost my copy of Photoshop (now playing with GIMP).
Anyhow, these have been sat for a while, so here we have another Copplestone female suit, and a em4 "BladeRunner." I think they make quite a nice couple.

Post Apoc Gangers
Two raider gangers for my post apoc project, this time supplied by Ground Zero Games (the girl) and em4 (the fella).

Federation Fleet (Johnny Lightning)
I picked up a bunch of Johnny Lightning Star Trek ships from the Red Alert series, a battle damaged NX Class Enterprise, an OS battle damaged USS Enterprise, Motion Picture USS Enterprise, Wrath of Khan battle damaged USS Enterprise and a matching damaged USS Reliant.
Damaged sections
These ships are bigger than the the MicroMachines, Futura and Heroclix ships I have, but seem to match almost perfectly for the Running Press light up Enterprise I picked up the other week.
For someone who prefers Star Wars to Star Trek, I sure have a hell of a lot of Trek ships.

USS Enterprise (Running Press)
I found this on Amazon, though WHSmiths also sell them. The original series USS Enterprise, it comes prepainted with all markings applied. its a lovely well detailed kit for its size. On top of all the saucer section lights up.
The Running Press Enterprise alongside the Futura refit Enterprise. I should point out that this kit costs £5.59 from Amazon.co.uk, though some crafty buggers are trying to sell them on ebay as an exclusive from the Eaglemoss Star Trek magazine, with prices upwards of £20!
