Last update of the year
Happy New Year my faithful readers.
Managed to finish off some of Novembers horde, a reaper scavenger woman, and some kind of cyber samurai, no idea who makes him.
I hope everyone has a good New Years Eve, and all the best for 2013.

Raider
A very old Chaos Thug for my post apoc raider warband armed with a bow and quiver of arrows on his back, and what looks like a pair of flintlocks at his waist. A nice old school chunky model.
Enjoy.

Random Sci Fi Women
Two random ladies, one pilot and one rather underdressed ganger. I think the ganger comes from Excalibur, not a clue where the pilot is from, if anyone knows, let me know?
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Space Marine Scout
Another classic picked up at Smoggycon for a steal, less than a Pound. Now I never liked the look of these old plastic scouts (love the metal and need to get some soon), yet when I picked it up I was amazed at the detail, comparing it to the Necromunda plastics that came out years later, this fellow is a masterpiece, I had to paint him up the minute I got home...Just with they had a heavy bolter or scout sgt there...oh well.

Civilians with GUNS!
Just another odd selection of mini's I painted up a few weeks ago. The girl is from an old line called Babes with guns, or some such, she is supposed to have a set of demon wings, but I left them off. She turned up in the post in a sorry state, the envelope was ripped apart and her blister had been crushed, she was snapped at the ankles as well. Still managed to fix her.
The suit, I picked up from Smoggycon, I think its an old Shadowrun mini, not so sure.
And the last fellow is from Crooked Dice and is supposed to be that immortal chap from Doctor Who and Torchwood, not that keen on how he turned out, oh well.

Bunch of Necromunda mini's
Smoggycon has been and gone, and with it I aquired a number of miniatures, some new but mostly old. As soon as I got home I had to get to work on the Necromunda mini's. The Goliath was already painted, so I simpley went about cleaning him up, adding some washes, and basing him. The pit Slave is a weird sculpt, but overall Im happy with how he turned out.
Now the Spyre Hunter Ive never thought looked good, yet I got him in my hands and was really impressed with all the simplistic detail on the miniature, and what an absoulte joy to paint up, very happy with how he turned up.
Enjoy.

Red Sonja 2
Apologies for the crap photo yet again, still no sign of getting my photo room back. Anyhow, another chainmail bikini clad warrior woman.

Blog Update
I've done a little maintance, the blog has a nice new logo at the top of the page, Ive renamed Followers to Minions :) , and Ive gone ahead and cleaned up the miniature site links getting rid of broken links and adding a number of new (and old) websites.... (if any of those site owners want to send me free stuff for the advertising thats cool, if not, thats cool to).

Crooked Dice Student
Lovely new mini from Crooked Dice and thier zombie game range. I intend to have her as the leader of the gangs of kids I have painted and unpainted.

Ork Burna
Another brown skinned Ork/Orc for my growing war band. This guy is a metal I picked up in a trade earlier in the year. Unfortunately, Ive forgotten which shade of brown it is I use for the skin, so this chap has come out a little darker than his comrades, an after effect of the flame thrower perhaps.

Sniper
Mad Larkin from the Tanith Ghost's. Yet another old miniature from the lead mountain finally getting some paint. Sorry about the grainy picture, Ive lost my photo room (conservatory) to my cousin's furniture while she looks for a place to live, so had to make due with the back bedroom, sigh...

Wasteland Gunslinger
Necromunda has some quality models in its range, in fact almost all of the 1st edition (Confrontation) and 2nd edition (Necromunda) were just great, full of character. Its a pity, the later sculpts, while good, just didnt have the same flair.
Anyhow, one Necromunda Underhive Scum, a really great multi role miniature and who fits right at home with the rest of my post apoc miniatures.

Sacrificial Altar
An altar of evil with a damsel in distress upon it. More dungeon crawling scenery for Heroquest, this time from Reaper.
I tried out some Vallejo paints I found in a discount DIY store, got to say Im not impressed, the paints are far to watery for my tastes.

Belit
Belit, known as "the Queen of the Black Coast," was a pirate queen and commander of a ship called the Tigress. She was a fierce warrior and the equal of any man in combat, and her crew was intensely loyal to her. They plundered many ships and villages, which resulted in a fearsome reputation. Belit eventually encountered Conan the Cimmerian and fell in love with him. Together they continued pirating until she was slain by a winged monster. Even then, Belit briefly came back from the dead to aid Conan, fulfilling her vow to save his life.

Guards Guards Guards
Another squad of Guardsmen from my batch of secondhand plastics, nothing really to write home about... But I do think I need to sit down and work out how many squads I have now and how many need command squads...

Red Sonja
Red Sonja (produced by Hasslefree) weilding a big axe and clad in her signature chainmail bikini, with a fur cloak to keep her warm. As a fan of Big Red I had to buy this, just a shame its took me so long to get her painted.

Valeria (Sasha, Frothers 2012 charity mini)
This was a charity miniature given away with donations to cancer research on the Frothers message board. I figured she would be a good match for Conan's blonde companion in Red Nails, Valeria, of course after I painted her I read Red Nails and found shes supposed to be wearing short silk pants and a red sash, well...maybe she went shopping after Red Nails...

Livingstone
One very old miniature (1984) I managed to aquire a few weeks ago in remarkable condition. Painted him up to use as a wasteland nutjob for post apoc gaming, but he is also useable for fantasy games.
Im real happy with the way he turned out.
Im real happy with the way he turned out.
Turns out Ive already painted Griselda (6), and have Wolfhead (3), Agaroth the Unwashed (7) and Ogbash Facesplitter (8) sat in the lead mountain, almost but not quite a full set.

An old (2005) D&D prepainted miniature repurposed for my current HeroQuest campaign (Witchlord) which requires a tonne of Undead.

Another great Hasslefree miniature Ive had sat in a drawer for quite some time, got him painted over the weekend and then just sat on it rather than post it up, bleh...Enjoy.

Heroclix Repaints
Two Heroclix that have earned a bit of a repaint, Madame Masque, and TaskMaster. Not bad mini's though TaskMaster is a little on the big side.

Raider Archer
An old Battlemaster's Chaos archer I painted up to use as a post apoc raider who likes to rely on more traditional weapons than those new fangled guns. Not a bad miniature for an early 90's boardgame.

Gretchin Herd
What fun little miniatures, and good value for money, 11 miniatures for £10, and while there isnt a great deal of options other than head swaps, and weapon swaps for the Ork, they are still good fun, I may buy another box in the future. Again this lot are painted in a brown fleshy colour rather than green and sporting prison orange to tie them to my previous Ork madness.

Morbs Battle Fortress
So I stopped by Home Bargains after work and shelled out the £3.99 for one of
these fortress toys.
Unpacked and built, fairly detalied for a kids toy.
Ah and here we have Private Xena posing before the fortress. As you can all see, the gateway (that doesnt open) is suitable for 28mm miniatures on foot at least.
All the components, its designed to be smashed by the tank toy, though Im not sure the tank toy is designed correctly, oh well. The back of the wall isnt sculpted at all, so will require some major sculping work, but hey, what do you want for £3.99?

Wizard of Morcar Number 2
Another wizard from the Morcar expansion, I was only able to snag two of the buggers. Not as good as the fellow I painted up the other day, but he still has character, in fact he kinda reminds me of the old Ten Commandments movie....

Do not, I repeat, do not belittle a Super Mutant!
A Fallout Super Mutant produced by Reaper. Quite a large miniature, about twice the size of the average 28mm model.

Wizard of Morcar
This is one nicely sculpted plastic minature I picked up 2nd hand, a real treat to paint and I think its a shame GW has scrapped this style of miniature in favour of skull heavy nonsence.
I wish I could get hold of the Wizards of Morcar expansion for cheap...

Post Apoc Girls
Some more miniatures for my post apoc project...to be honest I think this project is starting to match or surpass my Imperial Guard at this point.
Anyhow, four more, the kneeling Uzi girl is from em4 Miniatures, while the other three are from Hasslefree.

More Random Post Apoc
Another batch of random from Hasslefree, Foundry and Westwind. While I like the sculpting on the Snow White figures clothing, her non face is just hideous. No complaints about Hasslefree or Westwind however, top notch mini's all round.

Westwind Pyro
A West Wind Productions mini from thier Secrets of the Third Reich game, supposedly a British special character. Not as nice as the Soviet sniper, but still a nice mini for post apoc games.
